Becoming a volunteer driver

We are always looking to increase our pool of volunteers drivers and welcome any enquiries.
The amount of time you make available to Hordle Voluntary Care is entirely your choice whether it be a morning, afternoon, all day, one day a week or all week.  When you are contacted by our coordinator your can either choose to accept the request or decline it.

All potential drivers will be given a criminal records check (DBS) at no cost to the applicant.  Two references will be required and the referees are requested to complete a one page form.  Driving documents will also need to be checked.

Public liability Insurance is provided and there is also cover to protect all or part of your No Claims Bonus and Policy excess should you unfortunately be involved in an accident whilst working with Hordle Care.

Some training courses are arranged by the Good Neighbour Support Service and drivers are encouraged to participate when possible.
